POSITIONS Berlin Art Fair focuses on the promotion of young artists through its special presentation Academy POSITIONS, supported by Berlin Hyp.
This section serves as a platform for young talents, gallerists, and collectors to come together, fostering exchange and long-term collaborations. This approach strengthens the art market and has demonstrated its
success for all involved.
Academy POSITIONS by Berlin Hyp offers young, up-and-coming graduates of national and international art academies the opportunity to present their work for the first time at a renowned art fair in the form of a special exhibition to a broad public interested in art.

Academy POSITIONS by Berlin Hyp aims to provide the artists with important contacts such as gallery owners, curators and collectors, to encourage the transition to artistic independence and to gain initial experience on the art market.
Visitors have the unique opportunity to obtain a comprehensive overview of a new generation of artists and to promote them at an early stage of their careers.
Since the first edition in 2017, over one hundred artists have been exhibited and promoted within Academy POSITIONS. Many of these artists have already secured gallery representations and opportunities for professional collaborations.
Additionally, together with Berlin Hyp, POSITIONS awards two up-and-coming Academy artists, whose works will be shown in a solo presentation at the fair the following year.
In 2025 new works by the latest winners of the Berlin Hyp Award Fabian Hiller and Laura Mercedes Arndt will be presented in a solo presentation.
